For the La Maison
Bleue team, this new year begins on a bittersweet note. After four years of collaboration and partnership at our Mitsuwa Plano location, we will be concluding our time there at the end of this month. This follows a very short notice regarding the sudden lease ending from our partner, Good Times Donut.
This sudden news was unexpected and deeply saddening for us. Over the past four years at this location, La Maison Bleue first began as a small pop-up, where we introduced our ready-to-drink teas, and eventually grew into our very first storefront. We learned how to build something from the ground up—how to listen, adapt, and grow alongside our community. Watching that journey come full circle in the same space makes this moment both emotional and deeply meaningful to us.
That said, this is the end of a chapter, not the end of La Maison Bleue. We are taking this moment to regroup and explore new ways to grow sustainably.
How can you help?
While our Mitsuwa Plano location will be closing, La Maison Bleue will continue operating at our two other locations: inside SMU (open during the school term) and at Revolving Kitchen Fairview, located just about 10 minutes away.
The Mitsuwa location was our very first storefront, and its closure has a real impact on our family and our livelihood. La Maison Bleue is a small family-run business. Our goal has always been to open a permanent brick-and-mortar home for La Maison Bleue, and while we continue working toward that dream, we need the support of our community now more than ever.
We especially encourage you to visit and support us at our Fairview location. The space is larger, brighter, and designed for comfort, with Wi-Fi available for those looking for a place to study, work, or spend a quiet afternoon. Every visit truly helps and brings us one step closer to opening our next store.
We’re also excited to share that our Matcha Workshops are back! It’s the perfect opportunity to learn, relax, and enjoy a hands-on matcha experience with us.
